When one of our own team members walked in with a stunning garnet gemstone and a dream of a Legend of Zelda-inspired masterpiece, we couldn't wait to help her launch this design quest. Every great heirloom starts with an idea, but turning a fantasy concept into a physical piece requires serious precision. Our team member kicked off the process by blending traditional imagination with modern technology. She combined her personal hand-drawn sketches with AI generation tools to cleanly visualize the final layout going through several design iterations to finally choosing her final design. From there, she mapped out the details down to the exact millimeter, specifying the custom bail design and the precise prong placement around her distinct hexagonal gem.
Master Craftsmanship at the Bench
With the blueprint finalized, she brought her concept to our master bench jeweler, Nick. Nick took the time to review every single millimeter of her design to ensure the final piece would look exactly as she imagined. Instead of ordering new factory components, Nick utilized recycled scrap gold and her garnet to handcraft the piece from the ground up. The result is a breathtaking, custom 'Red Rupee' pendant that perfectly bridges the gap between high-end fine jewelry and gaming nostalgia.
