Are lab diamonds the same as Natural diamonds?
In short, yes, diamonds are diamonds no matter where they are formed.
While we cannot determine a diamond’s origin with our naked eye or everyday equipment, there is a significant difference in value. Natural diamonds are formed over millions and billions of years ( some are documented as older than the dinosaurs) and are considered rare gifts from Mother Earth herself.
Lab diamonds can be created in a matter of days or weeks, depending on how big we want them to be, and can be grown on an industrial scale in factories, lovingly tended by scientists.

Which is right for you?
That really depends on what you are looking for in a diamond. 4 major factors go into grading diamonds (both lab and natural): color, cut, clarity, and carat weight. We look for the perfect balance to match your desired budget without compromising diamond quality.
If size (carat weight) is the most important factor, then a lab diamond might be the way to go, as we can grow them very large and they will cost a fraction of that of an equivalent natural diamond.
However, if value retention is the more important factor, then a smaller natural diamond might be your answer, as natural diamonds can appreciate over time, but lab diamonds will depreciate. As time goes on, we are getting better and better at making them, which means they will cost less to make, and therefore are less valuable, but no less beautiful.
Both options can be right! As long as you and your partner are on the same page in what you are looking for, buying the perfect diamond for you is never the wrong choice.
