If you were planning a wedding for 2020, you were probably notified by vendors that your plans needed to be canceled or rescheduled into the next year. You not only have to rewrite your invite list, but you now have to plan a total wedding redo. You are not alone in your wedding plans changing. The good news is that you still have lots of options for planning your special day.

Wedding businesses from the venue to the officiant, florists, wedding dress & tux shops, DJs, and caterers have suffered from pandemic restrictions. Many of these vendors have gone out of business. Still, some have managed to rethink how they do business, offering new wedding services via online or smaller intimate sized options. The good thing is that you can still meet and strategize with wedding vendors via zoom or facetime. How fortunate are we that we have the technology at our fingertips, allowing us all to stay connected?

There have been many new rules and procedures implemented since the COVID closures. Now that businesses are reopening, we all must abide and even get creative with unique wedding ideas and plans. Check out our innovative wedding day plans that might save the day while you plan your wedding!
Virtual wedding: Many couples are not letting a world pandemic get in their way of wedding bliss. They have decided to move forward with their wedding plans. Many are now planning virtual weddings. Though it is very much out of the ordinary, believe it or not, it’s working to bring families and friends together. In this time of uncertainty, we can still virtually be there for a beautiful celebration with loved ones who are miles apart and otherwise separated because of COVID restrictions. Even the officiant can be virtually present.

Intimate wedding: Couples are downsizing their wedding guest list due to COVID restrictions. Now more than ever, we are discovering which people are the most important members of our circle. Reducing your guest list from hundreds to only 50 people is a tough decision. While there might be tears, it's a small sacrifice every bride must make in this situation. Later on, newlyweds are opting for a more significant
celebration with extended family and friends.

Destination wedding: With limited travel within the country approved, consider gathering your closest family and friends, and make a trip to a romantic destination. Consider cities, towns, or activities that match your interests, such as beaches, forests, or national parks.

Elopement: There’s always the runaway and elope wedding option. Las Vegas is a short flight from everywhere! Or you and your sweetheart could opt for a good old fashioned courthouse wedding in front of your local justice of the peace.

Postponement: Although it's not the ideal choice, delaying your wedding is also a viable option. Many vendors are working with couples to postpone weddings and events up to 24 months. Pushing the date out may not be the most desirable choice, but allows the bride and groom to have the dream wedding they originally planned.
Whatever wedding path you decide, remember to relax. Take every step one at a time, hand in hand with your partner. Your vendors are still willing and happy to work with you to make your day a perfect memorable occasion! Remember, if you can get through planning your wedding during a world pandemic, you and your fiance can get through anything that comes your way in the future!
